Dodge Viper SRT10

Beware of the highly venomous viper on the roads! Dodge has launched its ever powerful 600HP 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Roadster sports car for the brave kids on the road. It is likely to reach the American roads in the summer pausing a survival threat for the other roadster crawlers. Thanks to the engine technology developed by Street and Racing Technology (SRT) Engineering, Chrysler Group, for offering an 8.4-liter aluminum V-10 engine for this sparkling Viper SRT10 in eight different colors.

Aren't you curious to know its capacity of throwing the 'venom' on the roads? SRT engineers beautifully performed their engineering skills by equipping this fast roadster with the best engine possible on the roads by complying with the regulatory measures such as Federal Tier 2, Bin 5, and California's Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) 2 mandates.

Fast car SRT adopted the racer's formula for the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Roadster - bigger displacement, efficient breathing and higher engine speed. The exceptional performance of the Viper SRT10 sports car, added to its eye-catching appearance, is going to make new records on the roads. Apart from the interior and the exterior, Dodge offers a lot of customizable options to SRT 10 Viper owners who are crazy for cars with a difference.

The exterior of the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 will grab the attention of the snake-catchers. The fast car comes in eight different exterior colors including the slippery snake-green, venomous violet and the dangerous red. The color, along with the larger hood scoop, will make this roadster live up to its name. The eight vents provided at the hood provide sufficient airflow from the engine.

The interior of this sports car is no exception to its adventurous journey. The cockpit is fully equipped with all the instruments including the center-mounted tachometer and 220 mph speedometer. Apart from the five different color combinations offered to the interior, other noticeable feature is the bezel finish applied to its instrument panel and the console.

The cylinder heads of Viper SRT 10's engine is equipped with computer numerically controlled (CNC)- shaped combustion chambers, and larger valves with variable valve timing (VVT). VVT helps the valves to operate automatically as per the engine requirements, and thus offers a lot of relaxation time to the engine resulting better efficiency and cleaner surrounding. Another innovation in the engine technology of this sports car is the platinum-tip spark plugs that are used to ignite the fuel mixture in the engine. These plugs are fired by the plug coils placed on the cylinder-head covers.

The advanced safety and security technology adopted in the Viper SRT10 will pump in more enthusiasm in the car lovers to possess this vehicle not only as a racing car, but as a luxury car for everyday use. The safety measures at SRT10 include adjustable pedals, advanced multistage front air bags with occupant classification system, anti-lock brake system, belt-alert, and many more like that.

Now the choice is yours- own this venomous viper or get a bite from it!

Infinity G37

After the great success that the G35 coupe has had in the past, Infinity launches a new sport coupe G37. Since 2003, when it arrived, the model G coupe has had annual sales of almost 26 000, number that accounts for nearly 40 percent of all G sales. Taking into account the fact the numbers reached in 2006 over 20000 (more than BMW did 3 Series Coupes- slightly under 15000), no one can say now that coupes are dead.It would be only natural that after such a huge success Infinity would bring to front a fresh two door of its own, especially if they want to keep BMW tense a little after they have just released the twin-turbocharged, 300-horsepower E92 335i coupe. The G-Coupe interior has been remodeled, the chassis has been tweaked and the styling has been brought to a higher level. 37 more horsepower has been added to the new V6. So the new G37 will be propelled by the new .7 liter VQ series V6 with 330 horses and 270 pound-feet of torque. The VQ will definitely be found into other Infinity products like the FX sport, M and G sedans or maybe the next Nissan Z or the upcoming Skyline GT-R. The VVEL is highly appreciated by Infinity due to a few qualities like: it provides more power and torque throughout the power band, also improves fuel economy as well as reduces emissions. At a first look, the new coupe seems to be almost like the old one, but further and more attentive examination reveals important fine lines: every body panel is new, fresh design cues are incorporated including a wave hood, a double-arch grille, L-shaped headlamps, and an integrated rear spoiler. When comparing dimensions, we can say that the G 37 has grown only 0.9 inches in length and 0.2 inches in width and it has shrinked by 0.1 inch in height. Wheelbase is still 112.2 inches, and front, rear tracks are widening by 0.5 and 0.9 inch, respectively.

Peugeot 908-RC

The reason of a concept car is to explore new ideas and to test the ideas in an attempt to create the ultimate solution. Know-how and passion, combined with imagination, then become the motive force that turns the dream into reality. A dream that can be shared through the creation of a unique vehicle such as the Peugeot 908 RC.

The 908 RC owes its name to its engine: the Peugeot V12 HDi DPFS, which will power the racing version of the 908 in 2007. The abbreviation 'RC', used to designate sports models in the Peugeot range, also refers to the RC and RC concept cars which made their appearance in 2002 and whose architecture served as an inspiration during the design of this innovative project.

The original idea was to create a limousine with an imposing style that offered its four occupants a new driving sensation. The fi nal design, however, is an uncompromising car that combines dynamic performance, comfort, luxury and environmental protection. In short, it is an exclusive four-door vehicle that will capture the imagination of both occupants and onlookers.

Audi R8

The Audi R8 is a sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-engine, and uses Audi's 'trademark' quattro permanent four-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006. The car was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, and is derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The fundamental construction of the R8 is based on the "Audi Space Frame", and uses an aluminium monocoque which is built around a space frame. The car is built by quattro GmbH in a newly renovated factory at Audi's 'aluminium site' at Neckarsulm in Germany.

In 2005, Audi announced that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 International Geneva Motor Show, and 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The R8 road car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. There was some confusion with the name, which the car shares with the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype (LMP), and also the 1989 Mk2 Rover 200, codenamed R8.

The Audi R8 is used as a safety car in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and British Superbike Championship racing series.

BMW 7 series

BMW's full-size flagship executive sedan. Typically, BMW introduces many of their innovations first in the 7 Series. For example, the somewhat controversial iDrive system debuted in the 7 Series. The 7 Series Hydrogen, featuring one of the world's first hydrogen fueled internal combustion engines, is fueled by liquid hydrogen and emits only clean water vapor. Since the infrastructure for refueling a hydrogen fueled engine is not widely available, the V12 engine also runs on gasoline. BMW has also developed a newer, more efficient hydrogen combustion engine, now on par with some of the most efficient diesel engines.Numerous engines also power the 7 Series worldwide. BMW offers diesel, straight 6, V8 and V12 motors, as well as the Alpina tuned supercharged V8. It is also available in a bulletproof version.

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti 16.4 is masterfully manufactured in the new Atelier in Molsheim, Alsace.

The new production facility is located near the former Bugatti headquarters at Chateau St. Jean. It was build under the aegis of internationally renowned architect Gunter Henn. Only a short distance away is the simply designed storage building that houses the parts and spare parts supplied by top European manufacturers. The futuristic Atelier workshop has little in common with the completely automated production facilities of today’s automotive industry. The modern, functional building is marked by its elliptical layout, calling to mind the shape that Ettore Bugatti himself favored in his designs – so much so that it is epitomized in the company logo.

In front of the tall window façade that offers a beautiful view of the Vosges Mountains, three workstations are set up on the bright, epoxy-coated floor. Eight carefully selected and highly qualified employees assemble the Veyron piece by piece in this Spartan environment. No more than one or two vehicles per week are produced in the Atelier, each one requiring almost three weeks of careful assembly. The mechanics create the Veyron’s lightweight chassis; the formidable body is assembled; the 1,001 HP engine, four-wheel drive, and brake system provide the car’s basic functionality; the electronic control systems, convenience functions, and sound system disappear beneath the impeccable surface made of the finest leather and uniformly gleaming aluminum elements. For the customer, it is a special treat and unforgettable experience to witness the creation of his very own Veyron here at Molsheim, the venerable birthplace of Bugatti.

McLaren F1 road car

The philosophy behind the McLaren F1 road car was simple - to build the finest driver's car ever built, or ever likely to be built.

The McLaren F1 set a new benchmark in supercar design, delivering outstanding performance and handling as a result of intelligent engineering and the most cutting-edge Formula One technology at the time.

As the world's first production road car to feature an all carbon composite monocoque and body structure the F1 heralded a new era in the transfer of Formula One technology to the road. The extensive use of carbon fibre among other lightweight materials kept overall weight very low to improve handling and performance and yet provided exceptional strength and unsurpassed levels of safety.

The F1 was powered by a BMW S70/2 engine, specifically designed and built for the car. This 6.1-litre, quad-cam, 48-valve V12 produced 627 horsepower, driving through a bespoke six-speed transaxle gearbox. This engine powered McLaren to victory at Le Mans on its debut in 1995 and to several FIA GT championships.

The F1 also pioneered radical design features that contributed to the unique driving experience; these included a central driving position for optimum visibility, dihedral doors for easy ingress and egress, active aerodynamics and 'ground-plane shear' suspension geometry for exceptional vehicle dynamics.

It was an entirely uncompromised approach to engineering the very best supercar, one which only McLaren could make.

Breitling watches..

The Breitling Emergency version contains a radio transmitter for civil aviation use which broadcasts on the 121.5 MHz distress frequency and serves as a back-up for ELT-type airborne beacons. (For military users, Breitling has equipped the Emergency with a miniaturized transmitter operating on the 243 MHz military frequency.) Under normal conditions—flat terrain or calm seas—the signal can be picked up at a range of up to 90 nautical miles (167 km) by search aircraft flying at 20,000 feet (6,000 m). As of 1 February 2009, the Cospas-Sarsat Satellite System will no longer monitor the 121.5/243 MHz frequency; however, the signal transmitted by the Emergency was never strong enough to be picked up by satellite, and Breitling has announced that, as these frequencies will still be monitored by aviation, particularly during the localization phase of a rescue attempt, there are no plans to modify the signal's frequency.

In an incident that demonstrates how the Emergency can be used to save lives, Reuters reports that two British pilots, Squadron Leader Steve Brooks and Flight Lieutenant Hugh Quentin-Smith, crashed their helicopter in Antarctica and were rescued after activating their Breitling Emergency transmitter watches. The two pilots were in their lifeboat when a Chilean Otter aircraft found them after homing in on signals from their watches.

The Emergency is available for customers who do not hold a pilot's licence, but they must sign an agreement stating that they will bear the full costs of a rescue intervention should they trigger the distress beacon. The model was heavily advertised by the Breitling Orbiter 3—both Brian Jones and Bertrand Piccard were wearing the Emergency. Also, Bear Grylls wears an Emergency with yellow face and rubber strap in many episodes of Man vs. Wild
